In accordance with the Constitution, the Ministry of Defense's role is: Protection of the nation, including its borders and territorial integrity Protection of the revolution, against external and internal threats Contribution to internationalist duty as defined by the government of Qubari The Qubari armed forces are divided into five branches: Army Navy Marines Airforce Revolutionary Guard Additionally, the following civilian branches are subordinate to the military in times of war or crisis: Border Troops Civil Guard Coast Guard People's Revolutionary Militia
